New River Community and Technical College uses a Google custom search engine to crawl our designated servers and provide users with search results that are limited to New River resources and information.

Because New River has more than one web server, we include the following URL's in our Google Custom Search engine:

1. https://www.newriver.edu — the main New River public-facing web site hosted by Cucumber and Company
2. https://help.newriver.edu — the Help Desk ticketing system and knowledge base
3. https://nrctcf.org — the New River foundation site
4. https://portal.newriver.edu — the New River portal used for single sign-on
5. https://web.newriver.edu — a site hosted by IT Services with helpful information produced by IT staff

To use the New River custom search, please follow these directions:

1. Type in your keywords below (or any New River web page where the search field is included) and click the Search button to submit a query.
2. To use multiple keywords, separate them with commas or spaces (e.g., new, student, orientation, training).
3. To search for an exact phrase surround your phrase with quotation marks (e.g., "library services").
4. For best results, keep your search terms simple at first with only one or two keywords.
5. Search results are identified with a label to indicate which server (from the list above) that is hosting the information. By clicking these labels, you can search any of our specific servers.

HELP is our ticketing and self-help knowledge base information.

PORTAL is the New River single sign-on portal.

WEB is a site hosted and managed by our IT staff to share helpful training and information.

NRCTCF is our New River foundation web site.
